Prof Brayne is co-director of Cambridge Public Health, and is a public health clinical academic whose research career has focused on older people's health and brain ageing in populations, including biobanking. She has led the largest multi-centre study of cognition and dementia in the UK. She has also worked in areas of neurological and neuropsychiatric epidemiology such as the epidemiology of autism spectrum disorders, psychiatric disorders in mid-life.
