Enabling the collaborative research in Precision Health that is instrumental in the transition to preventative medicine

Joseph Newman

Joseph is undertaking a PhD in the Toshner translational medical science laboratory in novel digital endpoints for use in decentralised patient-centred clinical trials in pulmonary hypertension and other cardiopulmonary diseases. This is delivered via apps and wearables. This is collaborative cross-sector research including academia, health services, industry and patient organisations.

Kirsten Rennie

MRC Epidemiology Unit

Dr Rennie's research focuses on the incorporation of remote monitoring in population-based and patient studies, including apps and wearables with the aim of improving clinical pathways and health outcomes and how remote monitoring of physical activity and function can be used to identify individuals who are at risk of adverse health outcomes.
